Khalsa Industries is a Nashik-based manufacturer of process equipment for the chemical, pharmaceutical and process industries. It was founded in 1987 and continues today as a second-generation family enterprise.
What began as a small machine shop making precision hand tools, including pliers for Taparia Tools, has evolved into a specialist fabricator of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactor vessels, storage tanks and heavy fabricated assemblies.
Equipment built at our Ambad MIDC workshop runs inside the plants of Graphite India, SGL Carbon, NETZSCH, Thermax, Vatech Wabag, Kilburn Chemicals and many other process industry leaders. Many of those relationships are more than a decade old, and one is over 23 years.
Under the leadership of the founding family’s second generation, the company is investing in international code certifications, modern manufacturing systems and digital product development.
From a machine shop to a manufacturing legacy.
| 1987 | The foundation. Mr. Bhupinder Singh Banwait establishes Khalsa Industries as a precision machine shop, making pliers and hand tools for industry leaders such as Taparia Tools. |

| 1990s | Pivot to process equipment. A shift into fabrication of pressure vessels, storage tanks and process pipelines. Mr. Varinder Singh Banwait joins to lead finance and growth. The long-term partnership with Graphite India begins. |
| 2000s | Heavy fabrication era. Custom fixtures and machined assemblies for Atlas Copco (now Epiroc), Thermax and other OEMs. The workshop is expanded and ISO 9001 quality systems are adopted. |
| 2012 | Second generation. Mr. Gagandeep Singh Banwait joins, bringing mechanical engineering expertise and a modernisation agenda: automation, digital design and disciplined marketing. |
| 2017 to 2024 | Capacity and product expansion. CNC plasma cutting and oxy-fuel systems are added. The range grows to jacketed and limpet-coil reactors. Graphite India awards Khalsa its Best Delivery Rating. |
| 2026 | World-class ambitions. The ASME ‘U’ stamp and ISO 9001 certification roadmap is activated, a solar transition is under way, and exports are on the horizon. |
